King Kong's Dove of Peace

Here you can see the oversized peace dove of the world-famous giant gorilla "King Kong." I am currently working on a series based on a black-and-white Polaroid slide that I took around 1995 at Times Square with my analog Nikon F3. The countless rising doves in the background were actually startled for this photo by Sebastian Panneck, who is now a filmmaker and gin producer, but was a film student at NYU at the time! The dove is painted in oil.
